The history of Apaltagua began in 1995 when the company’s first vineyards were planted in the Curicó Valley of Central Chile. Because of the success of its wines launched in the U.S. market, Apaltagua acquired additional vineyards in the Maule, San Antonio, Maipo valleys, and the Apalta and Palmilla areas of Colchagua, all famous for their excellent wines.
Apaltagua is proud to produce wines that have received important accolades in the most important international competitions. Its wines are sold in more than 45 different markets.
The company is among a select group of wineries that have been granted the Sustainability Certification awarded by Wines of Chile.
Apaltagua’s wines are crafted by Benjamin Mei and Carolina França in partnership with the Winemaker Consultant Alvaro Espinoza.
